Dive Site Description
Atagawa, located on the east coast of Izu, is one of the divesites we have the chance to explore. Atagawa gets its name from the onsen surrounding the area that in turn makes the water steam year-round. Not only is it known for the plethora of onsen on land, but it is also known for its underwater attractions. Home to several pinnacles covered in coral colonies, the site is a hotspot for divers and underwater photographers as a result of the wide variety of macro marine life. This site has an easy beach entry and can support single tank, sidemount, and DPV diving.
Come join us at one of the oldest dive centers in Izu. Established in 1964 by Masuda Marine Productions, this dive center has been a host of thousands of divers annually and welcomes divers of all skill levels. Join us in exploring the underwater terrain created by lava flow from more than 4,000 years ago!
